Where is Subrenat and how to get there?

Aquitaine, southwest France in the Dordogne department. About 340 miles from St Malo by good roads; about 6 hours driving including lunch. About 80 miles further from Caen. Other Channel ports are Roscoff and Cherbourg. The Channel Tunnel is further but still a viable option; the quickest way is probably to go north of Paris via Rouen.

The closest practical airport from the UK (less than an hour's drive) is Bergerac (EGC), served by flyBE from Southampton and Bristol and Ryanair from Stansted. Bordeaux airport (BOD) is a little further (about one and a half hours) but it does provide a greater choice of flights, the BA flight comes in from Gatwick. Both Bergerac and Bordeaux have the usual car hire facilities. The TGV (Eurostar to Lille and change platforms to Angouleme and then Hertz and Eurocar are opposite the station) is another possibility.

Aquitaine and Douchapt

Clicking on the ViaMichelin link below will take you to a scalable and navigable map for 24350 Douchapt. ViaMichelin is a fine site which will give you driving directions from anywhere to anywhere though from the UK it will always try to take you via the Channel Tunnel. It will give you choices of motorways or not and the distance, time and toll costs. It might even tell you where the speed cameras are (don't bank on it) but not the mobile ones.

And clicking on the FallingRain link below will take you to the 5 day weather forecast for Douchapt and 2.8 million other locations.
